Join Our Team as an Emergency Room RN - 16 Week Holiday Coverage!** **Job Description:** - **Location:** Emergency Dept., 509 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801 - **Shift:** 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM - **Duration:** 16 Weeks - **Unit Specifics:** - **Number of Beds:** 101 - **Patient Ratios:** 4:1 typically; up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds - **Staffing Support:** Techs available for cardiac monitoring and internal processing; Unit clerks available days and nights - **Equipment Used:** Baxter pumps, GE monitors - **Documentation System:** Cerner - **Scheduling Requirements:** - Every other weekend required - Must meet the scheduling needs of the department - Flexibility to float to all sections within the ED (no floating outside of ED) - **Patient Experience Expectations:** - AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You) - Demonstrate respectful behavior and positive patient experience - Regularly update information boards and keep patients informed throughout their visit - **Certification Requirements:** - ACLS before submission - BLS before submission - PALS before submission - TNCC before date of hire - CPI before date of hire - NIHSS before submission - ENPC before submission - **Hiring Profile:** - **Experience Required:** Minimum of 2 years as a nurse, with at least 1 year in an ER setting required. - **Preferred Experience:** 2 years’ experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center with high volume (> 100,000 visits annually).
