Description:
Covid Vaccine required.
A New York License is required for submission.
All RTO must be included in the candidate’s profile.
No exceptions for RTO.
The unit has 48 beds.
Ratios are 1:6.
There is no charge nurse or nurse aides.
There are ED techs available.
Weekend requirements are three shifts per month.
Holidays are required every other.
Scrub colors are ceil blue tops and black or ceil blue bottoms.
Blue scrub jackets are allowed; hoodies or sweaters are not permitted.
Telemetry and vents are available.
There is a hospitalist or intensivist in-house.
An RT is available 24/7 but does not respond to the emergency department.
Pharmacy services are available 24/7.
Shifts are from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.
Floating is only between emergency department care areas.
Orientation consists of two clinical shifts.
Common diagnoses include chest pain, abdominal pain, stroke, STEMI, trauma, psych, and sepsis.
This is a Level 2 Trauma center with a 24-hour Cath Lab.
Designated Stroke Center.
It is a teaching hospital with an emergency medicine residency training program.
All emergency medicine physicians are board certified.
Cancellation policy: Travelers cannot volunteer to leave a shift or refuse a shift and receive guaranteed hours.
No guaranteed hours in orientation week, when the unit is closed, on holidays, or during weeks with RTO.
The charting system used is EPIC.
A BSN is not required.
The care setting is acute.
