Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Western North Carolina

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Every other weekend required; scheduling based on departmental needs with flexibility to work across all sections of the Emergency Department

Highlights:

• 101-bed Emergency Department serving as a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
• High-volume facility managing over 100,000 annual visits with diverse patient populations
• Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients; robust support from ED techs, unit clerks, and specialized cardiac monitoring staff
• Cerner EMR system with state-of-the-art Baxter pumps and GE monitoring equipment
• Regional referral center for pediatric subspecialties, neonatal intensive care, and Level III NICU services

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
• Prior experience in a Level II trauma center and high-volume Emergency Department (100,000+ annual visits) strongly preferred
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department
