The ideal candidate is committed to providing high-quality patient care. The Emergency Department serves a diverse community with a high volume of visits. There are 101 beds in the unit, with typical patient ratios of 4:1. Medical behavioral holds can increase the ratio up to 7:1. Technicians are available to assist in various tasks within the department. The documentation system used is Cerner. Every other weekend is required in the scheduling, which must meet the needs of the department. Floating is not permitted outside the Emergency Department but may be required within different sections. Candidates should be prepared to ensure positive patient experiences by adhering to AIDET principles. Competence in advanced nursing skills and procedures is essential.
