Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Electrophysiology Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: 2 years of Electrophysiology experience required, academic Electrophysiology preferred License: Must possess a current nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS AHA, RCES preferred Must-Have: First-timers accepted, but must have more than 2 years of experience in a busy Electrophysiology Lab On-call required: 2 call days a week and holiday shift call Description: Prepare the environment for procedures. Assess patients prior to and during procedures. Review safety checklists to ensure compliance. Monitor patients during cardiac electrical impulse procedures. Chart using EPIC. Maintain a patient ratio of 1:1. Scrub color will be provided. Local candidates are prioritized if residing within proximity to the facility. No weekend coverage is required, but it may change based on staffing needs. Engage in various Electrophysiology procedures. Responsibilities include blood product administration and monitoring procedural sedation. Demonstrate proficiency in IV management and infection prevention protocols. Participate in the insertion and maintenance of devices as needed. Utilize advanced monitoring techniques such as end-tidal CO2 monitoring. Stay updated with infection control and safety protocols. Complete all facility-specific training and modules within the designated timeframe. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care. Demonstrate effective communication with patients and families regarding procedures and care plans.
