    Job Title: Nursing Manager/Director, Nurse Educator Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nursing Manager/Director, Nurse Educator Duration: Full Time Shift: Days Hours per Shift: Guaranteed Hours unavailable Experience: Minimum 5 years License: Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in a U.S. state required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC instructor certification preferred or must be obtained within 1 year after hire. Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Professional nursing experience with minimum 2 years as staff RN in a specialty (e.g., ER, ICU, OB, OR). Two years of supervisory experience required. Description: Maintain an ongoing clinical education program for clinical staff to meet regulatory requirements with required certifications and competencies. Provide support services to internal and external customers under direct supervision with latitude for independent decision-making. Design, teach, and evaluate training programs. Act as an internal training and organizational development consultant. Provide career development resources. Plan, implement, coordinate, and administer clinical specialty training programs, including human patient simulator training. Provide educational and development services to both professional and non-professional staff to maintain and develop competency. Oversee the trauma registrar program to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. Work with outlying clinics to support the trauma program and designation by assisting in setting up programs, overseeing registries, and maintaining trauma designations. Ensure educational activities align with organizational mission, goals, values, priorities, and resources. Promote standards of excellence. Coordinate regulatory requirements with certifications including BLS, PALS, ACLS, and TNCC. Research and maintain current regulations and standards relevant to clinical practice areas. Maintain effective working relations with colleagues at all levels and from all professions, ensuring effective communication at all times. Partner with site and department managers to identify clinical education needs and best practices for educational maintenance. Lead the clinical education team to develop and coordinate planned educational programs and opportunities for all nursing staff. Collaborate with departments on education quality in relation to the clinical learning environment. Lead the development and completion of audits in relation to clinical education and partner with others to develop action plans to achieve recommendations. Provide coordination and training resources for various certifications and programs. Oversee trauma registrar program operations. Attend and participate in committee meetings and apply information presented in meetings. Participate in goal setting and initiate discussions regarding area or department issues. Complete annual competencies and evaluation materials. Maintain certifications and licensure. Refer unresolved problems to appropriate authorities for resolution. Support educators in the development and implementation of their programs. Supervise the trauma registrar program and assist clinics in their education on policies and procedures. Coordinate schedules for classes throughout the organization. Assist in facilitating clinical education opportunities provided by the organization. Participate in and use evidence-based research to identify strategies for improving professional development activities. Consider factors related to safety, effectiveness, and cost in planning and delivering nursing professional development activities. Physical demands include regular communication, frequent standing, walking, sitting, and occasional lifting. Some travel is required and may involve various modes of transportation.
