**Join Our Team as an Acute Travel RN Diabetes Educator!**
**Job Description:**

- We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic RN with a CDCES certification to join our dynamic Diabetes Education Program!
- This is an exciting opportunity to work in a premier 225-bed specialty care hospital with a diverse range of services including Heart & Vascular Institute, Cancer Center, and much more.
**Key Details:**
- **Department:** Nutrition, Wellness & Diabetes Education
- **Shift Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- **Weekly Hours:** 32 guaranteed hours
- **Patient Population:** Adults, geriatrics, pediatrics, gestational diabetes, Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes
- **EHR Systems:** Cerner/Athena
**What You'll Do:**
- Provide exceptional diabetes education, consultation, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
- Deliver tailored educational materials in both group and individual settings.
- Utilize your critical thinking skills and decisiveness to help patients manage their diabetes effectively.
- Collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals, assisting and backing up other staff as needed.
- Maintain diabetes supplies and participate in the orientation and training of new personnel.
**What We’re Looking For:**
- **Required Skills/Experience:**
- Proven expertise in Diabetes Self-Management Education & Support (DSMES)
- Strong knowledge in insulin education, CGM education, and care coordination
- **Preferred Experience:**
- Pump training, pediatric diabetes, gestational diabetes, and experience in rural healthcare
- **Education:**
- BSN or MS in Nutrition required (must hold RN or RD credential)
- **Certifications:**
- CDCES (Certified Diabetes Educator)
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
