High-Acuity Emergency Department – 118 Beds

This is a large, high-acuity Emergency Department with 118 beds serving a highly diverse patient population. Nurses care for patients ranging from behavioral health and boarding patients to emergency/trauma cases and critically ill, ICU-level patients.

Unit Details

  • Unit Size: 118 beds
  • Typical Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:6
  • Patient Population: Mixed acuity, including:
    • Behavioral health patients
    • Boarding patients
    • Emergency and trauma cases
    • Critically ill/ICU-level patients
  • Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of ED or ICU experience, post-orientation
  • Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS

Role Expectations
