Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Ashville, North Carolina.
Provide professional nursing care to pediatric and pediatric oncology patients in a 19-bed inpatient unit at Mission Hospital. The RN will care for children with a variety of medical and oncology needs, work closely with the interdisciplinary team, and maintain a safe, organized, and patient-centered environment. The unit requires pediatric hospital experience, with APHON certification for oncology assignments. Nurses may also float to PICU and NICU based on facility needs.
Requirements . Active RN license required. . Hospital-based pediatric RN experience required. . Pediatric Oncology experience preferred/required for oncology assignment. . BLS certification required. . PALS certification required. . APHON certification required for oncology assignment. . Must be comfortable caring for pediatric patients in an inpatient setting. . Must be willing and competent to float to PICU and NICU. . Cerner EMR experience preferred. . Must be available for night shift: 7:00 PM-7:00 AM. . Must work 6 weekend shifts, including 2 Saturdays. . RTO/special scheduling requests will not be accommodated. . 36 hours/week guaranteed; overtime applies after 48 hours.
