Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse - Asheville, NC. This temporary assignment involves providing high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency department. The role requires deep expertise in trauma and stroke centers, with a focus on teamwork and patient-centered care, all while adhering to hospital protocols and policies.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a registered nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of recent experience in a Level 2 trauma center or a high-volume emergency department, current certifications including ACLS, BLS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, PALS, and ENPC, and the ability to work in all areas of the emergency department.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a comprehensive stroke center, high-volume ED with over 100,000 visits annually, and prior HCA experience.
- Additional Information: The ideal candidate is flexible, team-oriented, proficient in emergency procedures, and capable of coaching and giving feedback in real time. Uniform is navy scrubs, and the department values teamwork and multicultural awareness. The assignment begins on 09/22/2026 and concludes on 11/03/2026, with rotation every other weekend and no block scheduling required. Candidates should be open to floating within the ED sections as needed.
