This role involves providing acute care in a large level II trauma center, with responsibilities including managing complex emergency cases and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment suited for experienced ER nurses.

Job Details

  • Certifications and Education Requirements: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS; current California license in hand; minimum of 2.5 years of experience in a large level II trauma center; at least 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting.
  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The role requires experience with arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, procedural sedation, and monitoring, as well as managing patients with trauma, stroke, and neuro-trauma. The ER handles a daily census of approximately 310 patients, with support in physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and other departments. Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-acuity environment and complete orientation modules recorded via certificates or transcripts.
  • Submission Requirements: Must include CA license verification, attach Nursys report within 2 weeks, and provide one reference within 2 years. Candidates will float within the hospital based on census.
