48-HOUR NIGHT-SHIFT EMERGENCY ROOM (ER) RN CONTRACT – ROCHESTER GENERAL HOSPITAL

First Connect Health has an immediate 15-week travel contract opening for an experienced Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) in Rochester, New York. Operating within Rochester General Hospital—a 528-bed Magnet-recognized tertiary teaching hospital and certified Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center affiliated with the Cleveland Clinic—this high-grossing position offers a structured 4x12 overnight schedule (19:00 PM - 07:00 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $3,252.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,484.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $34.00/hr (40 regular hours)
  • Overtime Rate: $51.00/hr (8 weekly OT hours included)

SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 4x12-Hours (19:00 PM - 07:00 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Extended 15-week contract. Block scheduling is not offered.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 48 total hours weekly (40 regular hours + 8 overtime hours).
  • Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend (EOW) rotation; must be available to work every other holiday if scheduled.
  • On-Call Requirements: Standby call rate is $8.00/hr ($92.12/hr call-back rate at 1.35x).
  • Clinical Scope & Unit Highlights: 24/7 advanced ED featuring trauma resuscitation suites steps from ambulance bays, dedicated crisis intervention, and advanced diagnostic imaging.
  • Patient Ratios & Acuity: Ratios maintained at 1:5 across adult and geriatric populations. Diagnoses include acute neuro-trauma, TBI, spinal cord injury, emergent stroke/CVA thrombectomy pathways, rapid infusions, continuous IV vasopressors/sedation, BiPAP/ventilators, gunshot wounds, and complex ortho trauma.
  • Floating Requirements: Float within clinical skillset as operationally required.
  • EMR & Scrubs: Epic EMR (hard requirement); scrub colors are any combination of navy blue and white.

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical ER RN experience is required (1 year minimum required by compliance). First-time travelers accepted!
  • Licensure: Active New York State (NYS) RN License strictly required in hand at submittal (NY does not participate in the multistate compact; pending licenses not accepted).
  • Certifications Required: * Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — valid proof must be included in initial submittal packet
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
    • TNCC is preferred.
  • Radius Rule: Candidates residing within a 75-mile radius of the facility are not eligible for travel contracts.
  • Rehire Policy: Former Rochester Regional Health employees must have a minimum 6-month separation across the entire health system.

Radius Rule Check: Permanent address must be outside 75 miles from Rochester General Hospital. Strict RTO limit: Submissions requesting more than 10 total days of RTO cannot be considered. Up to 5 hours spent on onboarding modules prior to start are billable.
