Voca Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Salem, Massachusetts.

To be considered for this Emergency Department RN position, candidates need:

Experience and certifications:

  • At least 2 years of emergency nursing experience.
  • American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
  • NRP and TNCC strongly preferred.
  • RN licensing requirements and first-time traveler eligibility are not specified; confirm before submission.

Required clinical skills:

  • Emergency assessments, documentation, critical thinking, and patient education.
  • IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, and splinting.
  • Ability to care for all patient populations, including pediatric and behavioral health patients.
  • Experience managing 1:4 patient assignments.

Schedule and floating:

  • Nights, 7 p.m.–7:30 a.m., every other weekend.
  • The description offers 36- or 48-hour schedules, but this posting lists 48 guaranteed hours.
  • Night positions do not rotate shifts.
  • Must float to ED Observation, AMU, and ED psychiatric observation areas.

Unit details:

  • 65-bed ED, averaging 230 visits daily, with separate pediatric and acute mental health areas.
