Position Overview

Join a fast-paced Adult Emergency Department at a state-of-the-art Level I Trauma Center in Rochester, NY. This high-volume emergency department manages 100,000+ patient visits annually and provides care to a diverse adult patient population with a wide range of medical and traumatic conditions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Travel ER RN looking to work in a high-acuity environment and gain valuable Level I trauma experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care to adult emergency department patients.
  • Care for patients with a wide variety of medical, surgical, and traumatic conditions.
  • Assist with boarder patients as needed.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, medication administration, and ongoing patient monitoring.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency setting.
  • Support department operations based on unit needs, including floating, weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge responsibilities when applicable.

Requirements

  • Active New York RN License – Required
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience – Required
  • Previous Travel ER RN experience – Required
  • Telemetry experience – Required
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment.
  • Must be comfortable working in a high-acuity, fast-paced Level I Trauma environment.

Required Certifications

  • BLS – American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ACLS – American Heart Association (AHA)
  • NIHSS

Schedule & Assignment Details

  • 17-week assignment only
  • 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Rotating Day / Evening / Night shifts
  • Must be flexible with scheduling based on unit needs.
  • Floating, weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge responsibilities may be required based on department needs.
