Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Evening Shift

  • Schedule: Evening Shift | 15:00 – 03:00 | 4x12-Hour Shifts | 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week
    • Schedule Structure: Block scheduling typically accommodated (e.g., 2-on/4-on rotation or 6 consecutive shifts); no self-scheduling. Guaranteed hours do not apply during 12-hour orientation.
    • Weekend & Holiday Protocol: Every other weekend required; holiday coverage rotated based on unit operational needs.
    • On-Call Protocol: No mandatory on-call requirement.
    • Floating Protocol: Rare floating as a "Help-All" support nurse only; ER nurses are never expected to take a direct patient assignment on inpatient floors.
    • Cancellation Policy: Facility may cancel up to 12 hours per 13-week assignment without penalty.
    • Dress Code: Tasteful solid-color scrubs with solid undershirts.

  • State Licensure [HARDSTOP]: Active Illinois State RN License OR documented proof of initiated IL license application strictly required at submission [HARDSTOP].
  • Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION - HARDSTOP]:
    • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support — Healthcare Provider) [HARDSTOP].
    • Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) [HARDSTOP].
    • Active AHA PALS OR ENA ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) [HARDSTOP].
    • Active ENA TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) OR TNS (Trauma Nurse Specialist) [HARDSTOP].
  • Advanced Pharmacotherapy & Monitoring [HARDSTOP]: Direct clinical proficiency in continuous titration of critical vasoactive, cardiac, and antihypertensive IV drips, alongside independent EKG dysrhythmia interpretation strictly required [HARDSTOP].
  • EMR Requirement [HARDSTOP]: Direct clinical proficiency with Epic EMR strictly required [HARDSTOP].
  • Drug Screen Policy [HARDSTOP]: Must pass a full-panel drug screen prior to start (Drug-Free Campus policy) [HARDSTOP].
