Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for night shifts. This role is vital in providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, catering to a diverse patient population across all age ranges, from infants to geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room.
• Assess patient needs, plan and implement nursing interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Manage a diverse range of patient diagnoses and maintain a high level of patient safety.
• Participate in departmental and organizational meetings, continuing education, and training.

Work Schedule

This position requires the following:

• Shift: 3x12 hours, nights (19:00 - 07:30).
• Every other weekend and holiday shifts as scheduled.
• Floating to other areas within the specialty may be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, and CPI certifications are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting preferred; however, candidates with 1 year of experience may be considered.
• First-time travelers with strong ER skills and experience are encouraged to apply.

Average Daily Census

The Emergency Room averages a daily census of 130 patients, with a bed capacity of 47 and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
