Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Medicine unit. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to both adult and pediatric populations in a fast-paced emergency room environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in emergency settings.
Conduct triage, assessment, and monitoring of patients’ conditions.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Administer medications and treatments as per protocols.
Stay informed about current best practices in emergency medicine.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Educate patients and their families about health conditions and care plans.

Schedule

This position requires night shifts, consisting of three (3) 12-hour shifts per week from 18:30 to 07:00. The role includes weekend rotation and requires staff to work on every other holiday.

Qualifications

Two (2) years of recent Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations.
Current Wisconsin RN or Compact RN license is required.
Certification in BLS, PALS, and ACLS from AHA is mandatory.
Able to pass Telemetry testing prior to starting the position.

No travel pairs are accepted for this position. Candidates must be adaptable and ready to work in a busy emergency environment.
