Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER)

The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) provides holistic care to patients and their families in the Emergency Room (ER) setting. The RN plays a crucial role in delivering independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions in accordance with established standards and competencies specific to emergency medicine.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop nursing diagnoses based on patient evaluations.
• Identify patient outcomes and participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
• Develop and revise patient care plans, ensuring coordination among various disciplines.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to other healthcare providers as needed, optimizing patient care delivery.
• Engage in shared accountability and decision-making regarding nursing practices.
• Continuously implement and improve practice standards and the environment of care.
• Provide exceptional patient care across a diverse patient population, including neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting.
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC).
• Completion of ENPC, NIHSS, and TNCC courses.
• Experience in Trauma Level I care.
• Ability to care for all patient populations.
• Proficient in using Epic electronic health record system.
• Skilled in cardiac rhythm interpretation.

Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work 8- and 12-hour shifts, with a schedule that includes night shifts and rotating weekend assignments. The RN will work in a fast-paced emergency environment, supporting patients through critical situations while collaborating effectively with a diverse healthcare team.
