  • Shifts: 12-hour shifts, typically 3 shifts per week
  • Shift Schedule: Night shift with weekend and holiday rotation
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,470 - $2,600
  • Environment: Very busy ED with up to 120 treatment areas and approximately 350-440 patients per day
  • Floating: May float to Psych ED and Pediatric ED for patients age 15+ when appropriate

Job Requirements

  • Active, unexpired RN license
  • Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Level I or II Emergency Department experience, or 2+ years of recent Level 3/4 ED experience
  • Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
  • Must pass a telemetry test on day 1 with a score of 85% or higher
  • Active BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications
  • Experience with Epic preferred
  • Previous travel nurse assignment experience preferred
  • Critical care experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexibly in a high-volume, fast-moving Emergency Department

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to emergency patients with varying acuity levels
  • Assess, monitor, and prioritize patients in a busy, high-throughput ED
  • Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members to support efficient patient flow
  • Manage a patient load of approximately 1:4-5 depending on acuity
  • Perform telemetry interpretation and respond appropriately to rhythm changes
  • Provide compassionate care in both adult and, when needed, pediatric-adjacent emergency settings
  • Adapt quickly to changing assignments, including floating to Psych ED or Pedi ED as needed
  • Maintain professionalism and strong clinical judgment throughout the assignment
