Emergency Department RN Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department Registered Nurse experience
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license or temporary Massachusetts RN license at the time of submission
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC certifications
- Successful completion of required onboarding and competency assessments
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
- Strong adaptability and willingness to support changing Emergency Department needs
Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with emergent and urgent medical conditions
- Perform patient assessments, triage, monitoring, medication administration, and emergency nursing interventions
- Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly according to emergency care protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Document patient assessments, interventions, outcomes, and ongoing care accurately
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-centered Emergency Department environment
- Participate in required testing, orientation, and competency validation activities
