Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position requires working nights in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, catering to the needs of patients in critical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver effective patient care.
• Perform assessments, interventions, and evaluations related to patient care.
• Ensure adherence to protocols and standards for emergency care.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatments.

Schedule and Availability

• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Night shifts: 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00)
• Weekends required; scheduled days will vary based on staffing needs
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia (can submit with license pending).
• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required; TNCC certification can be pending at the time of application but must be obtained before start date.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an emergency department or 1 year experience in a level 1 emergency department.
• Experience with pediatric patients preferred.
• Ability to approve a maximum of 40 hours for time off during the contract.
