An opportunity is available for an experienced Emergency Department Nurse with a focus on providing care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment and caring for patients presenting with various critical conditions.

Unit Specifics

Common Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
Specialty Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun
Number of Beds in the Unit: 64 beds
- 2 Triage
- 40 Acute
- 6 Super Track
- 2 Trauma
- 10 Clinical Decision Unit (CDU)
- 6 Psychiatric Beds
Floating Requirement: Yes

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Department nursing with pediatric experience.
Active New York RN License and additional state RN licenses as applicable.
Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC.
Experience with the EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
A Skills Checklist matching the specialty is required.

Shift Information

Shifts are from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Please note that block scheduling is not guaranteed.

Additional Information

ED nurses are expected to provide care to all assigned patients, including those who may require Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) services. Charge capability is highly preferred.

This role is suitable for local candidates, and travel experience is required. Please ensure all relevant qualifications and documentation are current at the time of submission.
