Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Utica, New York.
Job Description :
- Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)
- Location: Must live 75+ miles from facility for travel contract; locals accepted at local rate (under 75 miles)
- Shift: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM (Block scheduling not guaranteed)
- Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years recent ED experience
- Pediatric ED experience required
- Documented travel nursing experience required
- Certifications:
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (all required)
- Licensure:
- Active NY RN license (verification via NURSYS)
- Skills:
- Skills checklist matching specialty
- Experience with EMR (EPIC required)
- Charge nurse capability highly preferred
- Responsibilities:
- Provide care to all assigned patients (newborn, pediatric, adult, geriatric, psych, SANE patients)
- Float to other units as required
- Administer and manage specialty drips and medications (Pressors, Vasodilators, Anti-arrhythmics, Sedatives, TNK, Heparin, Insulin)
- Use specialty equipment (Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun)
- Work in a large ED (64 beds: 2 triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 trauma, 10 CDU, 6 psych)
- Common Diagnoses:
- Stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure
- Dress Code:
- Navy blue scrubs
Med Ninjas Job ID #19060. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
