Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role requires experienced professionals adept at managing a high-volume patient flow with critical thinking skills. The position involves working rotating shifts with a focus on nursing excellence and patient experience.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating E/N shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, with shifts rotating through 1p-1a, 3p-3a, 5p-5a, and 7p-7a.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications include California licensed BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) AHA (American Heart Association) only , PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) AHA only , or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course). Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of recent ER experience, preferably 3-5 years, with trauma and pediatrics experience. Travel experience, EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system experience, and superior references are required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Certification as Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and additional trauma or pediatric experience are highly preferred.
  • Additional Information: The emergency department has a daily census of approximately 190-200 patients, with rapid discharge turnover and inpatient holding capabilities. Nurses need to be able to critically think and manage a high-paced environment efficiently. The patient demographic is generally well educated and vocal about substandard care, emphasizing the importance of nursing excellence and patient experience.
