Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Nights Location Pending. This position involves providing acute care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department environment. The ER nurse will manage a variety of trauma, stroke, sepsis, congestive heart failure, and cardiac patients, utilizing advanced clinical skills to deliver comprehensive emergency care.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: EMT, RN license; ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, and TNCC certifications; minimum of 2 years of ER experience; must hold a valid RN license and be able to submit the license.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Position Responsibilities: Managing patients with various acute conditions including trauma, stroke, and cardiac emergencies. Reading ECG rhythms, providing breathing treatments, participating in emergency procedures, and utilizing advanced equipment such as vents, Cpap, and BiPap.
- Additional Information: Candidates will work in a high-volume emergency department caring for 80-90 patients daily, with a staff ratio of 1 to 4. Performed duties include triage, ED holds management, and collaboration with physicians and mid-levels. Self-scheduling is available, with every other weekend and holiday shifts required. Orientation provided specific to the unit.
