  • Shift Hours: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
  • Hours: 36 hours scheduled per week
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Scheduling: Block scheduling not available; facility schedules based on unit needs

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience
  • Active RN license
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS required
  • Moderate Conscious Sedation competency testing required before start
  • Must be ready to work in a busy, fast-paced ER

Unit Details

  • 24-bed Emergency Department
  • Approximately 150 patients per day
  • Patient ratio: 1:4
  • Mix of adult and pediatric patients
  • Acute and emergent cases
  • Cerner FirstNet EMR
  • Telemetry with Philips monitors
  • Hospitalist/Intensivist available in-house 24/7
  • RT available 24/7
  • Navy scrubs required

Additional Information

  • 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation
  • First to float
  • No floating to other floors is typically required
  • Holidays rotate with permanent staff
