Job Summary (ED RN):

13-week contract, 36-hour guarantee per week (7p-7a shifts)
Must have a current NYS RN license
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Prior travel nursing experience required   MEDITECH electronic medical record experience required
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Critical care and charge nurse experience preferred
Ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
Thorough knowledge of nursing principles and ability to provide quality patient care
Proficient in assessing patients’ clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs
Able to recognize and address safety issues for self and others, including safe patient movement/lifting
Capable of functioning well under stressful situations with strong problem-solving skills
Possesses strong leadership, prioritization, and delegation abilities; may serve as charge nurse
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

Must obtain defibrillation certification within six months of employment
IV, medication administration, and phlebotomy certification required during orientation
