Voca Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Emergency Department RN — ID 66089338

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of ED experience; first-time travelers accepted.
  • Certifications:TNCC, ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and MOAB required. ENPC and trauma experience preferred.
  • Skills: IV starts, triage, telemetry/dysrhythmia management, conscious sedation, blood administration, and stroke care.
  • Charting:Epic experience required.
  • License: North Carolina or compact RN license; pending accepted for submission.
  • Schedule:Four 12-hour nights, 6:45 p.m.–7:15 a.m., every other weekend; no block scheduling. Unit requests 48-hour contracts; 13-week assignments accepted.
  • Ratios: Typically 1:3 noncritical, up to 1:4 with hallway patients; 1:2 critical and 1:5 ED boarders.
  • Testing/interview: Must pass EKG testing before start. Manager interview required; provide availability for the next 72 hours.
  • RTO/holidays: Submit all RTO upfront; up to 7 nonholiday days, none during the first week. No additional RTO after booking. Must work 2 of 3 major holidays.
  • Other requirements: Flu vaccine required, with medical/religious exemptions listed. Complete lab testing within 48 hours of signing. Locals within 50 miles accepted at a lower rate.
