Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Location unspecified. This position involves providing critical care in a high-volume emergency department, managing a diverse patient population including both adult and pediatric cases. The role requires flexibility with shift schedules and the ability to float within the ER setting as needed.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications; minimum of 3 years of ER experience; licenses to submit; 36 hours per week on a rotating schedule with 12-hour shifts, starting October 26, 2026, through January 25, 2027.
- Preferred Qualifications: Significant experience with pediatric and adult ER cases; familiarity with triage procedures; ability to respond to a high-volume patient environment.
- Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients with a wide range of diagnoses including respiratory failure, asthma, trauma, and critical conditions. Manage ER holds, triage, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Utilize Cerner electronic medical record system, perform EKG interpretation, and operate RT equipment such as vents, Cpap, BiPap, and High Flow devices.
- Certifications: Adult ER - BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS required.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts starting at various times, including 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 3p-3a, and 7p-7a. A minimum of 36 hours per week, with shifts including eves, nights, and weekends.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must be licensed and able to submit their credentials as part of the application process.
