Job Summary
The organization is seeking an Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) for a position at the facility. This role involves delivering critical nursing care in a high-volume, high-acuity emergency department environment, with a focus on trauma, stroke, pediatric, and psychiatric patients. The ER RN will be responsible for providing quality patient care, ensuring safety, and collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.
Job Details
- Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: The healthcare provider
- Unit Notes: Telemetry, Labor and Delivery, Emergency, and Critical Care RNs will undergo a proctored Dysrhythmia Test on day one, which is a PASS/FAIL assessment.
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, Days (6 a.m. - 6 p.m.), with varied start times for Mid shifts between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., and Night shifts between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS (required), and TNCC (preferred).
- Required Qualifications: Active ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications, NIHSS certification, COVID vaccination, two years of ER experience, and license to submit.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of ER nursing experience, including level II trauma or above.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, and work into the permanent staff rotation for holidays.
- Additional Information: Candidates should have experience working in a high-volume, high-acuity ER, with preference for those with travel experience and trauma patient care background. They should be capable of leading team efforts to foster collaboration and efficiency. Travel experience is preferred; nurses may have opportunities to handle trauma patients based on experience.
