Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team. The position requires a commitment to providing quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

  • Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, Days (7 a.m. - 7 p.m.)
  • Patient Ratios: 1:4, with the possibility of flexing to 1:5 based on patient acuity
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • On-Call Requirement: No
  • Floating: Travelers may need to float within the scope to meet facility needs or between similar units

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an emergency room setting
  • Licensure: South Carolina license or Compact license required prior to start
  • Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
  • Preferred Certification: TNCC
  • All assigned modules must be completed prior to the start date, with access to modules expected by the Wednesday before the start date.
  • Attendance at staff meetings is required.

Miscellaneous Information

  • Local Radius: 60 miles
  • Local Candidates: Accepted on a case-by-case basis
  • RTO Restrictions: All requested time off must be included at the time of submission; approvals will be based on facility needs
  • Guaranteed Hours: The facility is allowed to cancel up to 1 shift every 2 weeks

Additional Notes

During hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams. It is advisable not to confirm any new or extended assignments during this period.
