Job Summary: RN ER – Illinois

  • Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room (ER) setting.
     
  • Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care based on acuity and presenting symptoms.
     
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
     
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and vital signs to the healthcare team.
     
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide optimal patient care.
     
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to emergency situations, including trauma, cardiac arrest, and other critical incidents.
     
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and discharge instructions.
     
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in electronic medical records.
     
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies and procedures.
     
  • Participate in ongoing education, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
     
  • May supervise and mentor nursing students, new hires, or support staff as needed.
