Job Summary:
The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for providing care to a designated group of patients using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and available resources. The RN ensures accurate documentation, develops and implements care plans, modifies care based on continuous evaluation, and prioritizes patient and employee safety. Effective communication and collaboration with colleagues, patients, and families are essential to promote a healthy and healing environment.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Illinois state RN License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (American Heart Association)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Additional Information:
• Implements procedures and theories specific to ED nursing
• Performs patient assessments and develops care plans in collaboration with providers, families, and patients
• Modifies care plans based on continuous assessment
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records/documentation
