Emergency Department RN – PM/Night Rotation

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
Shift: Rotating evenings and nights
Weekends: Every third weekend
Interview: Unit manager will call qualified candidates directly
Patient Population: Primarily adults

Required Experience

• Recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Telemetry competency
• Cardiac-rhythm interpretation skills
• Strong emergency assessment, triage and prioritization abilities
• Ability to manage high-acuity and rapidly changing patients

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments
• Prioritize care based on patient acuity
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans
• Monitor telemetry and recognize abnormal cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications and emergency treatments
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
• Provide patient and family education
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
