Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Night Shift Location
This ER Nurse position involves providing high-quality acute care for adult and pediatric patients within the emergency department setting. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver efficient and compassionate emergency services during night shifts, with a focus on trauma and urgent care.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid WI RN or Compact RN license; at least 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience working with adult and pediatric populations in the last 3 years; certifications including BLS, PALS, ACLS from the American Heart Association; experience with arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, central line care, and management of dysrhythmias.
- Additional Information: Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start, with a strict passing criteria including a telemetry exam and specific rhythm recognition. All shifts are variable, with additional requirements for telemetry proficiency and patient care documentation in Cerner or comparable charting systems.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with arterial line management, blood product administration, and care of multisystem organ failure patients.
- Responsibilities include triage, management of emergency cases including trauma, and adherence to safety and procedural protocols such as bedside shift reporting, utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding.
- Pass/fail testing with strict criteria is required before start date.
