36 Guaranteed Hours | 48-Hour Contract
- 12-hour nights: 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
- Every other weekend and one major holiday required
- ITO interview process
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS and CPI de-escalation training required
- Active RN license for the assignment state or applicable compact license
- Must pass EKG exam during orientation
- Copy of nursing diploma required
- Recent Epic proficiency within the past year very strongly preferred
- Large ED/trauma center experience strongly preferred
Unit Highlights
- 32 beds and 5 recliner chairs, with capacity for up to 10 hallway beds
- Typical ratios: 1:4–1:5, subject to facility needs and not guaranteed
- Busy ED treating all ages and a broad range of medical complaints
- Daily trauma, including motor vehicle accidents, gunshot wounds, stabbings and mass casualty events
- Stroke alerts, STEMIs, behavioral holds and occasional pediatric holds awaiting transfer
- Patients from nearby prisons may arrive with guards
Equipment & Support
- Alaris pumps, Hamilton ventilators and Philips monitoring
- AutoPulse, GlideScope, AmbuScope and Panda warmers
- Ultrasound, EKG machine, bladder scanner and Omnicell
- 2–5 techs per shift, unit secretary and possible LPN support
