Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Southern California. This position involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients within the emergency department, following established standards of care and the nursing process. It also includes supervising and directing the activities of various nursing staff levels, collaborating with other disciplines, and utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; 1 year of acute care facility experience preferred; Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor required; Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required; National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
- Additional Information: Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system is required; holiday RTO will not be approved.
