Registered Nurse ER (Adult) – Job Summary

  • Position: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Adult)
     
  • Facility: Rochester General Hospital, Rochester, NY (528-bed, Magnet-recognized, Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center)
     
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7a-7p/7p-7a); 13-week contract; every other weekend/holiday required
     
  • Charting: EPIC experience required
     
  • Licensure: Active New York Single State RN license required; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required (pending license not accepted)
     
  • Local Candidates: RNs within 75 miles not accepted
     
  • Floating: May float within skillset as needed
     
  • Unit Ratios: 1:5 (Adults, Geriatrics, all emergency type diagnoses)
     
  • Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics with all emergency diagnoses; occasional pediatric emergencies

    Core Clinical Skills Required:-
     
  • IV therapy (including blood products, central lines, phlebotomy, starting/maintaining IVs)
  • IV vasopressors
  • Ventilator management, CPAP/BiPAP
  • Stroke/CVA, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI care
  • Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
  • Emergency care (adult/peds, trauma, gunshot wounds, ortho trauma)
  • Isolation precautions, triage, and pediatric spinal cord injury management

    Equipment Used:- Bair hugger, rapid infuser, safe patient handling equipment

    Scrub Color: Any combination of navy blue and white

    First-Time Travelers: Accepted

    Special Scheduling: RTO/block and special requests must be submitted with application

    Call-Off Policy: Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts/contract without penalty

Med Ninjas Job ID #17918. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
