Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for an 8-week travel assignment in Torrance, CA. This opportunity is ideal for an RN with recent experience in a Level I Trauma Center who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department serving a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid triage, patient assessments, and stabilization
• Develop and initiate treatment plans
• Administer medications and treatments
• Provide cardiac monitoring and assist with emergency procedures
• Care for patients with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries
• Assist with resuscitation and life-saving interventions
• Care for patients experiencing:
  • Minor to major/complex trauma
  • Respiratory emergencies, including patients requiring intubation
  • Cardiac complaints
  • Complex infections
  • Psychiatric emergencies

Requirements

• Active California RN License
• Minimum 1 year of recent ER nursing experience
• Recent experience in a Level I Trauma Center in a metropolitan setting preferred
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• NIHSS
• MAB or CPI
• LA City Fire & Life Safety Card required
• Must complete required county employee health clearance prior to the start of the assignment
• Travel experience preferred, but not required
• Local travelers accepted

• Cerner experience preferred

   

Additional Details

• Patient ratios are within California state guidelines
• No on-call requirements
• RTO is subject to approval by the scheduling Nurse Manager and is not guaranteed
• Scrubs: Any color; navy blue or black preferred
• PPE provided
• Parking available on site
• EMR: Cerner
• Pay cycle: Sunday–Saturday

Credentialing Timeline

Please note: County credentialing can take approximately 1 month. All credentialing documents must be completed at least 2 weeks prior to the start date.

Compensation

Estimated Weekly Gross:$2,400/week

• Taxable: $1,050/week
• Housing/Per Diem: $1,350/week
• 36 hours/week

Weekly compensation is an estimated package and may vary based on applicable taxes, stipends, and assignment eligibility.
