Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse - Location unspecified. This position involves providing specialized emergency care in a small hospital setting with a trauma level of CAH. The ER nurse will deliver critical patient care across Med-Surg and Emergency Department units, rotating between day and night shifts, including every other weekend.

  • Required Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in Critical Access or small hospital settings, active SD (South Dakota) or Compact RN license (willing to obtain), certifications in BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course).
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week; day/night rotation and every other weekend. Call shifts are available from Sunday to Saturday, 1900-0700; Saturday 0700-1900; Sunday 0700-1900.
  • Additional Information: The role requires responding within 40 minutes when called, responding to increased patient load, emergency/trauma situations, or staff shortages. Experience in Med-Surg and Emergency Departments, excellent charting skills using EPIC, and orientation at the site are required. Submission must include Nursys, DOB, SSN, permanent address, references, resume, skills checklist, and last 4 digits of SSN.
