Emergency Room RN Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) experience required
- At least 2 years of Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Current New Jersey RN license
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current PALS certification
- TNCC required
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency care setting
Emergency Department Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions in the Emergency Room
- Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring in a high-acuity environment
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support timely treatment and interventions
- Respond effectively to trauma and critical care situations
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions in accordance with clinical standards
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining efficiency in a busy emergency department
- Support safe transitions of care and patient/family communication throughout the emergency visit
