Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with Emergency Department (ED) experience to join our team. The ED operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing critical care to approximately 14,000 patients annually.

Shift Details

• 12-hour night shifts
• 36-hour guarantees are not available
• Weekend requirements: Every other weekend, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient assessments to determine the severity of conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation throughout the shift.
• Provide emergency care and interventions as needed in critical situations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of current Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting.
• At least 3 months of travel nursing experience preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
• Active Vermont RN license or Compact license is required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (must be in hand for consideration).
• Must have a personal vehicle for necessary travel.

Travel Considerations

Local travelers (those residing within 50 miles) are not eligible for this position. All requests for time off must be included in your profile at the time of submission.

Holidays

Please note that travelers may not take all holidays off. You will be required to work two blocks during the holiday periods of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s as necessary.

Orientation

Non-billable orientation hours are not available, and all documentation should be prepared prior to the assignment.
