Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER)

Job Description

Join a dynamic Emergency Department that operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and serves approximately 14,000 patient visits annually. As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will play a vital role in providing immediate and effective care to patients based on the urgency of their conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments of patients upon arrival to determine the severity of their conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to establish patient care plans.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic tests as needed.
• Provide ongoing monitoring and support to patients in critical situations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient care activities.

Work Schedule

This position offers a 12-hour day shift, with a commitment of 36 hours per week. You will be required to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting.
• At least 3 months of travel experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• All certifications must be current and in hand, including:
• • Vermont RN license or compact license.
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Active Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
  • Active American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Traveler must have their own vehicle.
• Permanent address must be included in the profile.
