Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in an acute care setting will provide direct patient care in a Level 4 trauma and stroke center. The role involves managing care for adult and pediatric patients with a focus on trauma, stroke, and medical emergencies, utilizing advanced emergency nursing skills.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications; 2 years of ER experience required.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Assessing and managing adult and pediatric emergency patients, responding to traumas and strokes, performing advanced procedures such as arterial line management, baseline assessments, and administering blood products.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Level I or Level II trauma centers, management of ventilated patients, and familiarity with specialized emergency procedures.
• Additional Information: The role requires working in a fast-paced environment caring for a diverse patient population with a daily census of approximately 25 patients. Candidates should be capable of managing complex cases, including neuro-trauma and pediatric emergencies, with interdisciplinary support available including pharmacy, radiology, and social services.
