Position Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department RN experience
- Must have experience in a fast-paced ED
- First-time travelers may be considered with strong experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC required
- NIHSS cannot be obtained after starting
Patient Population
- Neonates through geriatrics
- All types of ED diagnoses
- Heavy behavioral/mental health population
- STEMI and invasive neurological cases
- Trauma cases including GSWs, stabbings, falls, and MVCs
Patient Ratios
- Main ED: approximately 1:4, acuity-based
- Fast Track: approximately 1:6
- ED has 35 beds + 6 fast-track rooms
- Average daily volume: approximately 168 patients
Required Skills
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- IV skills
- Critical-care drips and medication administration
- NIHSS assessment
- TPA administration
- Blood administration
- Procedural sedation
- Code Blue experience
- Strong triage experience preferred

Scheduling
- 36 hours/week
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
- No call
- Holiday requirement applies
- Time-off requests require approval
- Orientation: 2 × 12-hour shifts on the unit
