Position Overview

Manchester Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN – ER I) for a 36-hour night-shift assignment. The ideal candidate must have strong Emergency Department experience, previous travel nursing experience, and the ability to adapt quickly to changes in clinical systems and workflows.

The department is transitioning from Meditech to EPIC, so the manager is specifically seeking an experienced traveler who can confidently adapt to the new electronic health record system.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Emergency Department / ER RN experience – Required
  • Previous Travel Nursing experience – Required
  • Strong Emergency Department clinical experience
  • EPIC experience – Required
  • BLS (AHA) – Required
  • ACLS – Required
  • PALS – Required
  • NIHSS – Required
  • Must be comfortable working night shifts
  • Must be flexible with scheduling, weekends and rotating holidays
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and workflows

Electronic Medical Record

EPIC experience is required.

Manchester Memorial Hospital transitioned from Meditech to EPIC on June 27, 2026. Candidates should have prior EPIC experience and be comfortable navigating electronic health record changes.

Schedule

  • 36 hours per week
  • 3 × 12-hour night shifts
  • 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Every Other Weekend
  • Rotating Holidays
  • Block schedules cannot be guaranteed
  • Travelers must maintain scheduling flexibility based on department needs

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced ED Travel RN who can independently manage emergency patients, adapt to changing workflows, and transition smoothly into a new facility and documentation system.

Travel experience and EPIC experience are especially important for this assignment.
