Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract in Rochester, New York

Travel to Rochester, NY for a high-acuity Emergency Department Registered Nurse job in a fast-paced adult ED. This 17-week travel nursing contract offers the chance to deliver excellent emergency care, work alongside a collaborative healthcare team, and make an impact in a busy, state-of-the-art Level I trauma environment.

• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Schedule: Rotating day, evening, and night coverage; weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge responsibilities as needed
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070 - $2,180

Job Requirements

• Active New York RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Previous travel ER experience required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• NIHSS certification required
• Ability to adapt quickly in a high-acuity, team-oriented emergency care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate emergency nursing care to a diverse adult patient population
• Work in a busy, high-volume Emergency Department serving more than 100,000 visits annually
• Support a Level I trauma environment with strong clinical judgment, prioritization, and rapid assessment skills
• Care for boarder patients and collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Deliver safe, efficient care across rotating shifts and changing unit needs
• Maintain strong communication, professionalism, and flexibility in a fast-paced ER setting
