Registered Nurse (RN) - MS/Tele

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med/Surg Telemetry to join our dynamic team. This position involves providing quality patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume environment within the MS/T, IMC, and ER border settings.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population with a variety of diagnoses, including complex admissions from the Emergency Department.
Monitor patient conditions and respond proactively to changes in status.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Float between ED borders and extend to MS/T and IMC units as needed.
Adhere to all protocols and guidelines, maintaining high standards of practice.

Work Schedule

This position is for night shifts, specifically 3x12-hour shifts starting at 19:30 and ending at 08:00. You will be expected to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.

Qualifications

Must possess a valid registered nurse license in the state of Maryland.
BLS, ACLS, and CPI certifications are required.
A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required; first-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Patient Care Environment

The average daily census involves a minimum of 10 borders, with fluctuations up to 40 borders daily. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6, ensuring adequate attention and care for each patient.

Additional Information

The role involves working in a highly collaborative and demanding setting, making the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment essential.

Scrubs will be royal blue, in alignment with departmental standards.
