Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a healthcare facility location. This role involves providing urgent and emergent patient care to a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The ER RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, adhering to hospital protocols and standards to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC certifications; 5 years of clinical experience; experience in Emergency Room (ER) Specialty, patient ratio experience of 4 patients per nurse, proficiency with Epic electronic charting system, and prior community hospital experience preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care, IV sedation, arterial blood gas interpretation, dysrhythmia management, procedural sedation monitoring, and triage unit experience
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: The ER unit supports interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, and unit secretary. The daily census ranges from 50 to 70 patients across 12 rooms and 11 beds, with care provided to all age groups. Must complete labs within 3-5 days of contract signing; all compliance documents are due 10 days prior to start. Candidates must provide 7 years of accurate work history and two references obtained within the last year. The minimum experience needed is 2 years, with at least 5 years of ER experience preferred.
