Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) Nights Location: unspecified. This high-volume, fast-paced emergency department requires confident RNs to provide quality patient care across all age groups, including neonates to geriatrics. The position involves staffing the ER and its 10-bed observation unit, with a focus on handling complex diagnoses in a non-trauma environment.

Job Details

  • Position Description: ER RN, Night shifts, 36 hours per week, with additional shifts likely required every other weekend and scheduled holidays.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license (MD state license or Compact), BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI certifications, minimum 2 years of ER experience including community hospital or similar setting, proficient in EPIC electronic charting system, experience in managing high patient volumes and complex diagnoses.
  • Schedule: 3x12 Night shifts from 8:00 PM to 8:30 AM, with at least 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Float within the ER and observation unit may be required. Candidates must be comfortable handling a patient census of approximately 200 daily in a dynamic environment that features an observation unit with a patient ratio of 5-6:1.
  • Certifications: AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS; CPI certification is mandatory and must be obtained through approved online vendors such as The Calm Every Storm.
  • Experience Requirement: No minimum years of experience specified, but 2 years of ER experience preferred.
